William Thomas "Tom" Howell, 74 of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on
Saturday,  April 6, 2013 at Scott Memorial Hospital.   He was born on
December 10, 1938 in Scottsburg, Indiana, he was the son of the late Charles
Lloyd and Ethel Mae (Byerly) Howell.  Tom was a retired truck driver for the
old Richey and Stewart Trucking Company in Scottsburg, Indiana and a member
of the Shelter of the Sheep Church in Austin, Indiana, where he served as an
usher.  He was preceded in death by a son, Melvin Thomas Howell; two
brothers, James and Charles Leon Howell and two sisters, Patty Lou Howell
and Norma J. Gabbard.  Survivors include his wife, Christine  (Wells)
Howell; three sons, William Thomas Howell, Jr. (Joyce), Michael Howell (Cari
Lapine) and Jason Wayne Howell (Erica) all of Scottsburg, Indiana;  a
daughter, Angie Beverly Richey (Anthony) of Scottsburg, Indiana;   three
brothers, Harold Howell of Scottsburg, Indiana, Melvin Howell of Georgetown,
Indiana and John Howell of Little York, Indiana;  three sisters, Betty
Humphrey of Salem, Indiana, Katheryn Hunter of Linden, Indiana and Beverly
Ledford of Campbellsburg, Indiana; nine grandchildren, Kristen, Michael,
Gary, Isabella, Chloe, Shirley, Kiera, Caden and Carter and six great
grandchildren, Cortney, Matthew, Chandler, Zachary, Nicholas and Caitlin.
Funeral Service: 11:00 am Monday at Collins Funeral Home with Rev. Larry
Hatton  officiating.  Visitation: 4 to 8 pm Sunday  and after 9 am Monday at
Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana.  Interment will be in Little

Chester Michael Miller, 65, of Scottsburg, Indiana died Sunday, March 31, 2013 at his residence. He was born June 23, 1947 in Scott County, Indiana, the son of the late Chester E. and Elizabeth Ann (Bridgewater) Miller. Mike graduated from Scottsburg High School in 1965, then earned an Associates Degree from Clark Junior College where he attended on a athletic scholarship and also attended Livingston University in Livingston, Alabama. He was a self employed framer and carpenter, a member of the Mantee Baptist Church in Mantee, Mississippi, where he often served as an usher, was also a member of the Moose Family Center # 2324 and the Sons of the American Legion Post # 234 both in Scottsburg, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, JoAnn Moore. Survivors include a daughter, Anne Marie Miller of Mantee, Mississippi; a sister, Shirley Jean McCammon of Hartford City, Indiana; two grandchildren, Michael Neal Sanders (Terasa Ann) and Alex-anne Sanders and two great grandchildren, Paytan Alexis and Boston Neal Sanders.
